The Perfect Hero - Victoria Connelly; I've said it before, I can't resist anything Jane Austen!
Meet Me at the Cupcake Café - Jenny Colgan; Colgan is a long time favourite of mine!

Abandon - Meg Cabot, the cover is soooo breathtaking in IRL!

Kindle-Books
Keeping the Moon -Sarah Dessen
This Lullaby - Sarah Dessen

IMM #16 aka Chick-lit week at its finest :)

Hello everybody and thanks for stopping by my blog.

This week was a busy week, with uni starting again (not that I was on vacation before, I could work from home for the last three months, writing my masters-thesis). I live a bit away from my uni (it's cheaper where I live and I'm doing my masters which means I can do a lot from home, no lectures or seminars).

Anyway, this week has been more chick-lit-y than my past IMM's which seems kind of weird. Also, my missing books arrived (well, not the ones that were missing, but the ones that were re-sent to me) but an other book-related parcel is way overdue ( I've ordered a bag and a sweater that are book-related and they haven't turned up, hope it was a legitimate company :S :S). So, this is what I've got this week:
Playing Hurt - Holly Schindler. This is one of my 'missing books' that finally turned up. I was waiting for ever end ever for this one. Ordered it a long time ago, it was shipped...and...nothing happened. It just didn't arrive. Anyway, I was very happy when it finally arrived on my doorstep, after lots of emails to customer-service. Anyway. I've started it, but couldn't really get into it. The story in the book is not the one described on the jacket (or at least what I'd expected from the blurb). And I have a feeling there's some cheating going on there. :/ But everyone else loves it, so give it a try :)
City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. Yay, it arrived, beautiful hardback.

Looking for Leon  by Shirley Bentely. I just love these *big*-paperbacks :)
Girl on the Run by Jane Costello. I did my own little happy-dance when this arrived. Didn't think it was out yet. So it was a complete surprise. I LURVE Jane Costello's books. I LURVE THEM!
The Truth About You - Melissa Hill. I'm quite new to Melissa's books, I've only read two of them. But I've enjoyed both of them. She has a way of writing that's just like chocolate mousse or something. And all the twists and turns...oh my...I hope I like this one as much. Love the cover, (it reminds me of Lucy Dillon's books)
The Finishing Touches - Hester Browne. A few weeks back  I was raving about Hester Browne's new book: Swept off her Feet, (here), and a few of you mentioned this book of hers, that I should read it, so I've bought it :)
The Provence Cure for Brokenhearted by Bridget Asher. I love the Provence, hope I'll love the books as well :)

So, this is it for me this week. What did you all get?
Happy Reading!

Bookshelf tour - aka 'I own too many books'

I own way too many books :)

I think it's time for another bookshelf tour. Yes, I know, I've done it before, but I for one never tire of them, I love looking at other people's bookshelves, so I thought why not do another. I actually wanted to do it as a vlog, so I just spent a lot of time filming my bookshelves, but it didn't turn out so well, so I'm showcasing my shelves with lots of pictures instead. (Please ignore the dust you'll see in some of them, it's not easy to keep dark surfaces dustfree haha).

My books

Yes, I'm running out of shelf-space :)
Yes, I like pink, why?
yep, and hearts too...
and pretty covers...
So, that's it. You can, obviously, only see the front row of my books on my shelves, there are, eehhm, lots of books behind the books you can see pictured..and I have boxes full of books under my bed, in my closet....and so on...

Contrary to what you see in the pictures I'm actually not a very girly girl. Not outside my bedroom. My friends are mostly guys, I watch sports, hate shoes and make-up and other girly stuff, and I don't have many girl-friends..Yep, contradictory that's me :)

Hello Everybody,

First of all I'd like to thank you for all the lovely comments last week, my health (eyes) is much better this week, thank you all :)

My Jane Austen Summer: A Season in Mansfield Park - Cindy Jones. As I've said before, I can't resist anything Jane Austen :)
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Brontë. With this one I'm starting my new Penguin Classics Hardback Collection. I LOVE Jane Eyre, my favourite classic!

The Anti-Prom - Abby McDonald. I love all things Abby McDonald! Can't wait to read this!
Entwined - Heather Dixon. Beautiful Cover :)
Wake Unto Me - Lisa Cach. Sounds very intriguing!
Rubinrot - Kerstin Gier. It's been more than 8 years since I've read a book in German, so I'm actually looking forward to it. These books are just beautiful, I was really overwhelmed when they arrived yesterday. Best thing ever! The English translation, Ruby Red is going to be released soon, so look out for it!
Saphirblau - Kerstin Gier (part 2)
Smaragdgrün - Kerstin Gier (part 3)

The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf - Molly Harper. This is part two in a series. I just had to read it on release-day, so I bought it on my kindle. It's hilarious and entertaining, but not as good as the first one.

Gift:
Eighth Grade Bites - Heather Brewer. This books was kindly sent to me by Leanna from Daisy Chain Book Reviews. THANK YOU so much! :)

So, that's it from me this week, what did you all get?

Happy Reading!

March Favourites (Monthly favs #3)

March oh March where have you gone?

This has been a very very strange month indeed. Hope April will be better!
According to Goodreads I've read 14 books during March. Whis is one more than I've read in February even though February was a few days shorter! Anyway, the books I've read this month haven't exactly blown me away. Different from earlier months I only have two books in my favourite-folder and both of them are chick-lit (I've read four chick-lit books out of fourteen books in total!).

My two favourite books in March 2011 were:

The Girl's Guide to Homemaking by Amy Bratley

This book really took me by surprise. It was not at all what I'd expected. I enjoyed it mucho and couldn't put it down.
You can find my review-recommendation-thingy here.

I Love the 80's by Megan Crane

I'm a big, no huge, fan of Megan Crane. I just love her writing, the quirkiness, the humour, the warmth, everything.

This book is so much fun, it has it all. Music, the 80's!!!!, the fun fashion, the hot hunk, the adorable heroine, romance, mystery, time-travel, murder....and so on.

I hope to find time to write a review soon :)

Loved it!
