New Books # 20

So, I was in Stockholm today, my first day of my internship. So far I've survived even though I was late caused by a late train which led to missing the second train and so on...
Anyway, we finished quite early, as it was the first day - lots of information and administration - so I had some time to go to the big book-store with English books. Sure, I already own most of them, but today I ventured into the YA-section (didn't even know they had one in English)...so this is the result:

North of Beautiful - Justina Chen Headley; Lock & Key, Along for the Ride, Just Listen - Sarah Dessen

Desperate Book-Shopping

Hello everybody!
I'm back from Spain again. I had a wonderful time, lot of time to read. The 9 books I brought with me weren't enough and the last few days were quite boring, suffering from withdrawal anxiety from having nothing to read.
Anyway, now I'm back in a place where I at least have an internet-connection and this morning I hurried to town. Of course, there were no english books, or at least, the ones they had I also have. But I managed to find one:

Melissa Hill - Please forgive me
I normally don't like to read books that are translated, thereof the problem with finding books this morning. I like to read books in their language of origin. In the end I bought these three books, with a little compromise:
Jessica Bird - Wenn es plötzlich Liebe ist; CécileKrug - Die Sache mit Edgar; Silke Neumayer - Die Männerversteherin

Anyway, it's only the first one that is originally in english, the second one is translated from french and the third actually is written by a german author. They looked lovely so I bought them :)

New Books #1

These I found yesterday in an all-English bookstore in Zurich!

This one arrived yesterday. I ordered it in Sweden, where it arrived last Thursday when I already had left Sweden. A dear friend sent it to me here in Switzerland..not it is here..YAY :)

Stockholm

I was in Stockholm yesterday, mainly because of an intern-ship in a library.
Of course I couldn't ignore the opportunity of visiting my favourite book-store which boasts of having the biggest "pocket book section" in Scandinavia (Norden).I'm not sure I believe that. Not sure at all. Anyway, their selection of English books is quite small, and most of them I already own. Anyway, I managed to find these two books:

I got home late, but I finished About Time by Niamh Shaw before falling asleep. Expect a review soon (that will be a very very very difficult review for me to write!)

Stockholm

Was in Stockholm today. Had a very boring assignment which basically entailed me sitting in the library all day, watching people. In the end I had to go..just go...far far away..I think people started to realise that I was stalking them.

I was supposed to meet an old friend from back home who is studying in Stockholm right now, but sometime during the afternoon he let me know that he couldn't make it. Pity.

I decided to venture into the city, despite it being very cold, snowing, and my bag weighing several tons! (I had one book to read, currently reading Hello, Heartbreak by Amy Huberman, three books to read for school and my laptop in that bag). Anyway, I went into the big book store, and despite feeling a lot of pain in my back, sweating ( warm clothes and stores don't go together very well) and being hungry, I managed to find two books. Shame that I didn't have the energy to stay longer..imagine what gems I would have found then....

So, now I'm back home again..studystudystudy..Lots to do this week...
