IMM #16 aka Chick-lit week at its finest :)

Hello everybody and thanks for stopping by my blog.

This week was a busy week, with uni starting again (not that I was on vacation before, I could work from home for the last three months, writing my masters-thesis). I live a bit away from my uni (it's cheaper where I live and I'm doing my masters which means I can do a lot from home, no lectures or seminars).

Anyway, this week has been more chick-lit-y than my past IMM's which seems kind of weird. Also, my missing books arrived (well, not the ones that were missing, but the ones that were re-sent to me) but an other book-related parcel is way overdue ( I've ordered a bag and a sweater that are book-related and they haven't turned up, hope it was a legitimate company :S :S). So, this is what I've got this week:

Playing Hurt - Holly Schindler. This is one of my 'missing books' that finally turned up. I was waiting for ever end ever for this one. Ordered it a long time ago, it was shipped...and...nothing happened. It just didn't arrive. Anyway, I was very happy when it finally arrived on my doorstep, after lots of emails to customer-service. Anyway. I've started it, but couldn't really get into it. The story in the book is not the one described on the jacket (or at least what I'd expected from the blurb). And I have a feeling there's some cheating going on there. :/ But everyone else loves it, so give it a try :)

City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare. Yay, it arrived, beautiful hardback.

Looking for Leon  by Shirley Bentely. I just love these *big*-paperbacks :)

Girl on the Run by Jane Costello. I did my own little happy-dance when this arrived. Didn't think it was out yet. So it was a complete surprise. I LURVE Jane Costello's books. I LURVE THEM!

The Truth About You - Melissa Hill. I'm quite new to Melissa's books, I've only read two of them. But I've enjoyed both of them. She has a way of writing that's just like chocolate mousse or something. And all the twists and turns...oh my...I hope I like this one as much. Love the cover, (it reminds me of Lucy Dillon's books)

The Finishing Touches - Hester Browne. A few weeks back  I was raving about Hester Browne's new book: Swept off her Feet, (here), and a few of you mentioned this book of hers, that I should read it, so I've bought it :)

The Provence Cure for Brokenhearted by Bridget Asher. I love the Provence, hope I'll love the books as well :)

So I'm back again.

My self-imposed book-buying-ban is officially over and I got a little crazy when I was ordering books, so there were a lot of books waiting here for me when I got home from the airport...awesome :)

Not only is my book-buying-ban over, but this week was also my birthday, I'm 26 now, feeling a bit old to read so much YA..haha :), anyway, I got a Kindle for my birthday, which is awesome as there is no more space for my books in my room!

 I also got a kindle leather case, pink of course, but it hasn't arrived yet...

Faking It - Lotte Daley (This sounds like a nice 'fluffy' read)

The Ballroom Class - Lucy Dillon (After loving Lucy's newer books I just had to get this one too)

Seven Exes Are Eight Too Many - Heather Wardell (Like the title, NOT the cover!)

City of Bones - Cassandra Clare (Finally I'm going to read these!)

City of Ashes - Cassandra Clare (And how gorgeous are the covers!!)

Angelfire - Courtney Allison Moulton (Sounds interesting)

Dark Mirror - M.J.Putney (Ooh, like the sound of this one)

The False Princess - Eilis O'Neal

Babe in Boyland - Jody Gehrman (hope it's as hilarious as the movie She's the Man :P)

Sean Griswold's Head - Lindsey Leavitt (Love the title and the Cover)

Pathfinder - Orson Scott Card (I fell in love with this cover/book when I was in The Bookstore in Zurich, but it's a really big hardback so I couldn't buy it - too heavy)

Desires of the Dead - Kimberly Derting ( I've been waiting like crazy for this one!)

Insatiable - Meg Cabot (I've been wanting to read this since it came out, but never got around to buying it)

A Discovery of Witches - Deborah Harkness ( Sounds amazing!)

I just realized that I forgot a few :S well, will be posting them next week.

I swear, I seriously wrote a review (one that has been loooong overdue) today (Saturday), but my laptop crashed (are all the mighty powers against me lately?) and all was lost. I have it all in my head though (seriously, as if I would forget something, ever !)..and I'll be posting it on Monday, promise.

Anyway, I had a week of AWESOME! Seriously, a wonderful and great week, at least book-wise!

So, lets get started:
This week I want to begin with this cute (quite big) package I got Friday. I did win this book on facebook (Wohoo - Yay) and the lovely package arrived so fast and with so many small lovely details, I was quite overwhelmed: Thank you so much!!

Love Unscripted - Tina Reber, sent with Love from the USA.

Love Unscripted -Tina Reber , The book is really 'thick' and I'm looking forward to reading it (I put it on my holiday-pile, as I'm going home to Switzerland soon). There even was a nice signature inside the book:

1st reader in Sweden!

 Anyway, this is not all I got this week, but  the rest of the books mentioned below I bought by myself (someone help me please, I'm spending way too much money on books!!!!!)

A Game of Thrones - George R.R.Martin; HBO is launching a new series ' A Game of Thrones' on April 17th, starring (amongst others) my all-time favourite actor Sean Bean, so I just had to check it out/ read the book(s) the TV-series is based on. So looking forward to reading this, they say it reminds a little of Lord of the Rings....

More Fantasy! I loved the Immortals-series when I was a teenager, I had them on loan from the library constantly. Loved them. Earlier this month I bought 'Wild Magic' as an e-book to see if I still loved it, I did, so I bought them all. Looking forward to reading them! First time in English, yay!

A Valentine's Kiss - Lucie Hart

Lost Dogs and Lonely Hearts - Lucy Dillon .. I Loved this!! I only wish I'd read it BEFORE 'Walking Back to Happiness' which is kind of a sequel to this one. Even though I'm really not a dog person (I'm really really afraid of dogs) I absolutely adored this book, read it in one sitting. (got it on Tuesday afternoon, finished it sometime during the night to Wednesday)

Nanny Returns - Emma McLaughlin & Nicola Kraus - I only bought this one because it was crazy cheap in the bookstore I visited in Stockholm. I've read and adored 'Nanny Diaries' but I haven't really been interested in the sequel....
